Mordecai Exposes a Plot Against the King

Esther 2:19-23

2
Chapter 2
19 When the virgins were gathered a second time, Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate. 20 Esther did not tell her native land nor her people, just as Mordecai had commanded her, and she obeyed Mordecai's word just as she had been doing in faithfulness with him. 21 In those days, Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate. Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs who guarded the threshold, plotted to assassinate King Ahasuerus. 22 The matter became known to Mordecai, and he told it to Queen Esther, and Esther informed the king in Mordecai's name. 23 The matter was investigated and found to be true. The two of them were hanged on a tree, and it was written in the book of the words of the days before the king.
